Cancellation & Refunds Policy
Last updated 9 August 2026 · Applies to vrindaved.com and the Vrinda Ved mobile apps
This policy explains how to cancel, what we refund, what we do not, and how long it takes. It applies to every purchase made through vrindaved.com and the Vrinda Ved apps, and forms part of our Terms of Service.
In one line: cancel any time and keep your access until the cycle you have paid for runs out; we refund billing errors and undelivered service in full, and we do not refund a cycle you have already used.
1. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from Profile → Subscription, or by writing to support@vrindaved.com from your registered address. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep full access to your plan until that date — you are not cut off the moment you cancel — and you are not charged again. Your account then reverts to the free tier. Your charts, readings and history remain available.
A cancelled cycle is not refunded on a pro-rata basis, because you retain the service for the whole of it.
If you pay by UPI Autopay
Cancelling in the app also cancels the mandate. As a belt-and-braces measure you can additionally revoke the mandate in your UPI app under “Autopay” or “Mandates”. If a debit ever occurs after you have cancelled with us, it is a billing error under clause 3 and we refund it in full.
2. Downgrades and upgrades
Downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle. You keep the higher plan until then, and the lower price applies from the next renewal. Nothing is refunded at the point of downgrade, and nothing is charged.
Upgrades take effect immediately. You pay a one-time charge equal to the difference between the two plan prices, your higher allowance applies to the remainder of the current cycle, and your renewal date does not move. Because the additional allowance is made available to you at once, an upgrade charge is not refundable once the upgrade has been applied — except under clause 3.
If you pay by UPI Autopay, the mandate amount cannot be increased by your bank. In that case we complete the cycle you have paid for and ask you to re-subscribe at the new tier. You are never charged twice for the same period; if that ever happens, clause 3 applies.
3. When we do refund
We refund in full, without argument, in these cases:
- Duplicate or double charge — you were billed more than once for the same period. We refund every charge beyond the first.
- Charged after cancellation — a renewal was taken after you had cancelled.
- Unauthorised transaction — a charge you did not make and did not authorise, once verified.
- Payment taken but access not granted — the money left your account and your plan was not activated. Please give us a chance to fix the activation first; most cases are a webhook delay of a few minutes.
- Sustained service failure — the Service, or a core paid feature, is unavailable for a substantial part of your billing cycle because of a fault on our side. We refund that cycle in full or pro-rata, whichever is fairer to you.
- We withdraw a paid feature mid-cycle, or we terminate your account for a reason other than your breach of the Terms. We refund the unused portion pro-rata.
Good-faith window on a first subscription
If this is your first paid subscription and you decide within 7 days that it is not for you, write to us and we will refund it in full, provided you have used no more than a token amount of the plan’s allowance (as a rule of thumb, under 10% of your monthly questions and no deep-dive readings). We offer this once per account. We are not required to, and it does not become a right you can rely on repeatedly — but we would rather you left happy than felt trapped.
4. When we do not refund
- You disagree with a reading, or a prediction did not come true. You are paying for access to the Service — the calculations, the interpretations and the time they take to generate — not for an outcome. Astrological accuracy is not something we warrant, and it is not a refundable defect. Please read our Disclaimer.
- A cycle you have used. Mid-cycle cancellation does not produce a pro-rata refund.
- Allowance you did not use. Unused questions and deep dives expire at the end of the cycle and have no cash value.
- Readings you have already received, including deep-dive top-ups that have been spent. The work has been done and the cost incurred.
- Readings that were wrong because the birth details were wrong. We compute from what you enter. Contact support and we will correct the details and, as a gesture, restore the allowance the wasted reading consumed.
- Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms, including abuse of the free trial or attempts to circumvent allowances.
- Charges older than 90 days, other than the cases in clause 3.
5. One-time top-ups
A deep-dive top-up is consumed the moment you spend it on a reading and is not refundable after that. An unused top-up can be refunded within 7 days of purchase on request. Top-ups do not expire while your account is open.
6. How to request a refund
Email support@vrindaved.com from the address registered on your account, with:
- your registered email address or mobile number;
- the date and amount of the charge, and the payment reference from your receipt or bank statement;
- a one-line description of what went wrong.
Raising it with us directly is always faster than a bank dispute, and we would rather hear from you.
7. Timelines
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| We acknowledge your request | Within 48 hours |
| We decide, and tell you the outcome with reasons | Within 5 business days |
| Approved refund initiated with the payment provider | Within 2 business days of approval |
| Money back in your account (UPI, cards, net banking — India) | 5–7 business days from initiation |
| Money back in your account (international cards) | 7–14 business days, depending on your bank |
Once a refund is initiated the remaining time is in the hands of your bank and card network, not ours. We will give you the provider’s refund reference so you can follow it up.
8. How refunds are paid
Refunds always go back to the original payment method. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card, account or person. If the original method is closed, your bank will normally still route it to you — speak to them first, and tell us if it fails.
Refunds are made in the currency you were charged in. For payments in a currency other than INR, the seller of record is Creem and the refund is issued through Creem; any difference in the amount you receive is due to exchange-rate movement or your bank’s foreign-transaction fees, which we cannot reimburse. Taxes collected on the original sale are refunded with it.
9. Chargebacks
If you do not recognise a charge, please contact us before raising a chargeback — we can usually explain or refund it within a day. A chargeback filed while a refund request is already open with us will suspend the account until the dispute is resolved by the bank. We do not penalise anyone for a chargeback made in good faith.
10. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, or the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, note that your 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content ends once performance begins with your express consent — which is what happens when your plan is activated immediately on payment; the good-faith window in clause 3 is offered on top of that in any case.
